NMH has recently upgraded our surgery suites with state-of-the-art anesthesia machines, ultrasound guidance systems, laparoscopic/arthroscopic camera equipment, and orthopedic instruments. Additionally, the Sterile Processing Department upgrades include a new ultrasonic cleaner, autoclave, automatic washer, and water filtration system.
Outpatient Surgery
Thanks to improved technology and advancements in anesthesia and pain control, many less invasive surgical procedures are now being done on an outpatient basis. Routine outpatient procedures include tonsillectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, and cataract surgeries. Complications from outpatient surgeries are relatively rare. We are dedicated to utilizing techniques that reduce infection rates and promote quicker healing.
