Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Shandy Baggs, APRN-CNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, full-spectrum care to patients of all ages at Newman Healthcare Associates.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and spent over a decade as a Registered Nurse, gaining experience in labor and delivery, medical-surgical care, clinic settings, and home health. In 2007, she completed her Master’s in Nursing Education and spent five years teaching LPN students, sharing her passion for nursing with future healthcare professionals.

In 2008, Shandy returned to her hometown of Laverne with her family and went on to serve as Director of Nursing for the OB floor in Woodward for three years. Driven by her passion for patient care, she pursued her ultimate goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Post-Master’s degree from Graceland University in Independence, Missouri, in 2011 and received her national certification shortly thereafter.

Since 2011, Shandy has been proudly practicing at Newman Healthcare Associates alongside Dr. Danna Stuart, delivering primary care for patients from infancy through geriatrics. She is deeply committed to building meaningful connections with her patients and believes that caring for others is both a privilege and a calling.
