About the Position
Newman Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and reliable Food & Nutrition Services Worker to join our kitchen team! This position plays a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious, delicious meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily meal preparation and cooking following hospital dietary guidelines
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Help with dishwashing, stocking supplies, and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Work collaboratively with the Food & Nutrition Services team to ensure timely meal service
- Provide excellent service and support to patients and staff
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or cooking experience required (healthcare or commercial kitchen experience preferred)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends or holidays
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
