
Meet Dr. Richard D. Orgill, MD
Board-Certified ENT Specialist | Now Seeing Patients at Newman Memorial Hospital
We are proud to welcome Dr. Richard D. Orgill, a board-certified ear, nose, and throat (ENT) physician, to the Newman Memorial Hospital specialty care team. A native of Oklahoma City, Dr. Orgill brings extensive experience in both medical and surgical ENT care for patients of all ages—from infants to older adults.
Education & Training
Dr. Orgill began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University following a two-year volunteer mission in Chile. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, completed a general surgery internship in Tulsa, and went on to complete a residency in head and neck surgery in Madison, Wisconsin.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Orgill is committed to serving our diverse community with compassion, cultural understanding, and clear communication.
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Orgill specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ENT conditions, including:
- Allergies and chronic sinusitis
- Ear infections and hearing loss
- Tonsillitis and throat disorders
- Hoarseness and voice issues
- Dizziness and tinnitus
- Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in both children and adults
He is also one of the few ENT specialists in Oklahoma certified to surgically implant the Inspire® Device, an innovative treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea—offering a comfortable and effective alternative to CPAP therapy.

Known for his warm and responsive care, Dr. Orgill takes a personalized approach to each patient’s needs. He listens closely, explains treatment options thoroughly, and works with patients to find the best path to optimal health.
He is also active in clinical research and has been published in respected medical journals such as Annals of Otology, Rhinology, & Laryngology and Archives of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
Outside the Clinic
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Orgill enjoys mountain biking, spending time with his wife and five children, and giving back through community service.
