For more than 106 years, our dedicated team of healthcare professionals has proudly served the communities of Northwest Oklahoma, Northeast Texas, and Southern Kansas. Today, as a growing rural health system, our reach extends far beyond our local community. In 2025 alone, Newman Memorial Hospital provided care to patients from more than 18 states and 173 cities, a reflection of the trust placed in our physicians, providers, and clinical teams.

This philosophy began with our founder, Dr. O.C. Newman, who believed the voice of the patient should always guide the practice of medicine. Our history is rich with milestones that reflect a longstanding tradition of excellence. Newman once earned the nickname “Little Mayo of the West”, recognizing our commitment to innovation and high-quality medical care. We were among the first three hospitals in Oklahoma accredited to perform cardiothoracic surgery, and most recently, Newman Memorial Hospital became one of only three hospitals in the nation to achieve The Joint Commission’s Rural Health Clinic accreditation through Newman Healthcare Associates.
Each day as I pass by Dr. Newman’s mural, I am reminded of the remarkable legacy entrusted to us. Leading such a respected and historic rural health institution is both a privilege and a responsibility. I remain deeply grateful for the trust our patients and communities place in our team and honored to continue building upon the foundation established more than a century ago.
